PHILIPS Lighting Warranty Terms and Conditions 

Customer will have a PHILIPS Lighting warranty card(see sample below) attached with our official invoice at the time of purchase. All the PHILIPS lighting products, bulbs except, will automatically obtain one to two years warranty provided by PHILIPS depending on which category stated on the warranty card. If customer found the defective product due to factory defect, you are welcomed to bring along with the defective product with the warranty card and official invoice to our showroom within 10 days counting from the date of purchase in order to proceed the free exchange in reasonable time frame, time to test the defective product may incur. subjected on the stock availability. Afterward, customer are welcomed to contact PHILIPS Lighting (Hong Kong) Limited directly to arrange the defective products due to factory defect. Hong Kong Signify PHILIPS (H.K.) Hotline 23530777.

Ceiling Fan Warranty Terms and Conditions

Dealerships’ has an option to repair the products, which become out of order under normal use, free of charge in the product guarantee period. ***Warranty period is different from Dealer to Dealer, details please refer to the following year terms. The replaced defective parts shall become the company’s property.

Fanaway : 1 year in-home warranty + 2 years parts warranty + 3 years on the motor
Lucci Air : 1 year in-home warranty plus 2 years on the motor
Bayside : 1 year in-home warranty plus 2 years on the motor
Bigass Fans : 1 year in-home warranty plus 1 year on the motor

*1 year in home warranty (Limited to LED bulb, handset and Remote channel reset)

Warranty period begin from the day of purchase (pick up) or installation day (arranged by us). You must have the original dated purchase receipt from Tri-Light Zone ” an authorised retailer “. Warranty is not effective without this documentation.

Warranty Period CEILING FANS

- Please select your fan carefully and discuss your needs with a sales professional. Fans that do not perform as expected and which are not faulty cannot be replaced or exchanged under warranty. Proper performance relies on the right fan being correctly installed in the optimum location.

- The warranty will not cover external appearance or finish of any part of the ceiling fan. Limitations apply regarding corrosion damage when not maintained (e.g. cleaned) regularly.

- Some ceiling fans are designed and recommended for indoor use only. The warranty will not cover the indoor ceiling fans installed outdoors.

- Blades must be replaced only as a complete set. Blades are supplied only as a set and the replacement of individual blades may void the warranty by causing mechanical damage to the motor, excessive noise or premature wear.

Remote Control

- All remote controls have a 12 month in-home warranty period for the remote control receiver and a 12 month parts only warranty for the handpiece. The term “remote control” means the handset and the receiver connected to the fan. Remote controls supplied as part of a “fan + remote” package deal are only covered by 12 months warranty. Customer are recommended to bring in the suspected faulty remote handset to our showroom on testing. We will exchange it for free immediately if tested remote handset was failure in terms of our stock availability.

- Please note the remote control receiver is not part of the fan, instead being a separately connected accessory device. The remote control receiver is often fitted into the fan mounting bracket for convenience but is not an integral part of the fan and not covered by the warranty provisions of the fan motor itself.

- Resetting of DIP switches in remote handpieces is not covered by warranty and a service call fee will apply. Customer is recommended to try the 16 combinations DIP switch setting before call out for warranty or charged maintenance service. DIP switch sheet as below

- Batteries, if supplied, are done so as a complimentary (free) item only and not covered by warranty.

Additional Light Kit

- Light fitting, if purchased together, which adhere with ceiling fan provide 1 year warranty. If the light fitting or light bulbs are interchangeable by bare hand, customer is recommended to bring in the faulty light fitting or light bulbs on exchanging for free within one year warranty (in house warranty is not covered).

- Light Globes, if supplied, are done so as a complimentary (free) item only and not covered by warranty.

- The warranty will not cover external appearance or finish of any part of the light fitting. Limitations apply regarding corrosion damage when not maintained (e.g. cleaned) regularly or accidental breakage or human breakage.

Warranty Transfer

If the ownership changes on the dwelling where the fan or remote control is installed, the balance of the warranty period passes to the new owner, providing the original dated purchase
receipt from Tri-Light ZOne “an authorised retailer” are retained by the new owner. Warranty does not cover any damages to the fan or the remote controller if it is moved from one dwelling to another during the warranty period. The warranty is voided in total if the product is sold separately as second hand goods.

What is Not Covered By Warranty

Warranty does not cover the following;

• Ceiling fans that are not installed by qualified and licensed electricians

• Damages caused by the user or installer and not caused by a fault in the product materials or workmanship

• Damages caused by force-majeure, electrical surges, lightning, power grid fluctuations, humidity or water

• Damages casued by incorrect voltage

• Dirt removal and external cleaning work

• Incorrect installations like improper connections of remote control receiver & the handpiece

• Globes and tubes are not covered by this warranty

• Power supply “noise” or other influences from power delivery infrastructure (bad connection wall switches, home internal wiring, any regarding internal fuse box etc).

• Water damage of any kind

• This product warranty excludes liability for consequential loss or claims for damage to furniture, carpets, walls, ceilings, foundations or any other event either directly or indirectly resulting from a faulty ceiling fan or accessory product

• Damage caused by alternative power systems (i.e. solar inverters, etc.)

• Unauthorised repairs or modifications

• Ceiling fans not purchase

A service call fee will be charged if

• Ceiling fans that are not installed by a qualified and licensed electricians

• If goods are found to be free of defects

• The installation is not done in accordance with accompanied instructions

• The defects have been caused by incorrect application or abuse of the product
